The work of a defense attorney in a jury trial ” in Moscow.

Maksimova Tatyana Yurievna - Candidate of Legal Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Criminal Procedure Law, Moscow State Law University named after O.E. Kutafina (Moscow State Law Academy), lawyer of the Moscow Region Bar Association;

Nasonov Sergey Alexandrovich - Counselor of the Federal Chamber of Lawyers of the Russian Federation, lawyer of the Moscow Bar Association, Candidate of Legal Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Criminal Procedure Law of the Moscow State Law University O.E. Kutafina.

The seminar was attended by lawyers of non-profit organizations, acting lawyers from various regions of Russia.

During the seminar, the participants got acquainted with the work of a defense attorney in a jury trial, with the participation of a defense attorney in investigative actions. Seminar participants were able to work in groups, as well as participate in an improvised court session with invited jurors.

Such seminars in a playful way make it possible to show the visibility of the actions of defenders and prosecutors during court hearings, to develop skills in maintaining the line of defense, to reveal the legal, tactical and ethical aspects of a defender in court.
